Raaz - the Mystery Continues, shortened as RTMC, (Hindi: राज़, Urdu: راز, translation: secret), directed by Mohit Suri, is a 2009 horror movie starring Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut in the lead pairs taking over from Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea. However, it is not a sequel to the 2002 movie Raaz[1][2][3] The movie deals with issues of the “evil within” the human psyche and how it manifests itself. It is based on the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society. The film attempts to challenge one’s beliefs about paranormal phenomena. Emraan Hashmi plays a painter, named Prithvi, who has an extraordinary gift. His paintings tell Nandita's (Kangana Ranaut) future.[4] The movie opened to theatres on January 23, 2009. Although it received generally mixed reviews, the movie had sufficient box-office collections to be declared as the first big hit of 2009. A sequel has already been planned with Emraan Hashmi in the lead.
